This document is limited to real property owned by joint tenants, trusts, and revocable transfer-on-death deeds. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trusts avoid probate. Probate is the process of transferring assets from the deceased to their heirs. This process is under court supervision. Probate is costly, time-consuming, and is a public proceeding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
