DeedandRecord.com removes former spouse as owner of house. DeedAndRecord.com prepares and records quit claim deeds for divorced Californians. Until the former spouse is removed from title the owning spouse cannot sell, refinance, or borrow and the former spouse will inherit the house in the event of death.
Courts continue to see an increase in the numbers of litigants who represent themselves in divorce. Approximately two hundred thousand divorce petitions are filed annually in California and it is estimated eighty percent of those cases involve at least one self-represented litigant.
